Visa
Sri Lanka visa chargers (.....) USD per person for non SAARC countries and (......) USD per person for SAARC countries can obtain directly via www.eta.gov.lk
The process is simple. Payment can be paid online, and you will receive a document with a code which you have to submit on arrival with a passport. There is no need to waste time for filling out any paperwork after your long flight. Since you have already submitted the necessary information when you applied for the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization)
The passport has to be valid for 6 months from the date of arrival, and the return air ticket should be with you.
Note: Visitors from 3 Sovereign states (The Maldives/ The Seychelles/ Singapore) may obtain a free visa on arrival to srilanka with no other requirements.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients while on a holiday organized by Grand Away (Pvt) Limited
Clients together with their personal property including baggages are at all times solely at their risk.
Clients are fully responsible for arranging their own insurance.
A suitable insurance policy should adequate cover for medical expenses arising through illness or accident prior to or during the holidays. Including evacuation and repatriation in an emergency and loss of holiday money through cancellation curtailment of the holiday for incurable reasons.

SL Currency
The local currency is the Sri Lankan rupees, and it can be found as notes and coins.
Currency notes are 5000/1000/500/100/50/20/10
beware of mistaking the 500 note for the somewhat similar 20 notes.
Banks are open from 9 am to 3 pm on Monday to Friday, and cash machines (ATM) are available across the country to withdraw money using international credit cards or debit cards. Most of the hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers accept card payments.

Exchange foreign currency and also some money exchanges in several places in Sri Lanka, which you can go and exchange foreign currency while you are on tour.
Valuables
Most of the hotels provide safety locker to keep your valuables. We do recommend to avoid bringing unnecessary valuables with you. Its also a good idea to purchase a money belt or pouch that is easy hidden. We strongly recommend that you make a photocopy all important documents e.g - air ticket s, passport, insurance policy details, ext and keep the copies separate from originals. While not valid a photocopy makes it very much easier to obtain replacement if necessary.
What to wear
As it is a tropical island, the weather conditions may change, and it can be different day to day.
Light weighted cotton clothes are comfy at any time of the year. Light woollen clothes and a rain jacket may be needed for the hills. Long shirts and pants for protection against mosquitoes are useful. Please bring clothings that cover arms and pants /skirts that go past the knees for entry to local temples. For women, light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms during hot weather.
All temples can be visited barefoot, but the hot ground is unpleasant, so avoid burning your feet.
You can take an extra pair of socks with you. If you are planning to track and climbing please bring your suitable gear. Do not forget to pack comfortable shoes, sandals, or trainers and remember to bring a hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun.
